Astro Miner takes place far above the Earth's atmosphere, where a group of scientist uncovered the means of extracting precious metal resources from the surface of an asteroid. Numerous mining teams were sent to the asteroid to collect these resources but they did not count on one thing... hostiles. Ralph will learn how to work the equipment left behind by the mining workers. Platforms, ladders, lifts, springs, thrust pads just to name a few. Mastering powerup usage will be vital to Ralphs progress throughtout the 30+ levels which cover 3 huge regions. On his journey Ralph will discover bonus areas, new power-types, boss monsters, new weapons, new platforming elements and much more. To add even more excitiment we've added a touch of rpg element to the game, Ralph will uncover Achievement Tokens throughout the playfields, at the end of each level Ralph will be able to purchase upgrade traits that permentatly effect the character. Such upgrade traits include run speed, attack damage, pet summoning, dynamite crafting and oxygen regeneration and more! You can increase Ralph's abilities by spending achievement points. Achievement points can be obtained by collecting Achievement Tokens throughout the playfields. The story goes; Ralph has leanred from the returning asteroid miners that some strange alien-like creatures came pouring out of the asteroid's core. Ralph, having an obsession with alien life, quickly gathered his gear and departed for the asteroid mining complex. Once there Ralph realizes the minors vacated the complex in such a hurry that they left the gold  resources laying all around.  Ralph then decides to collect  these resources and return them to Earth. During his quest to do so the alien inhabitants began to surface and Ralph realized that his task wouldn't be as easy as he had originally predicted.   Ralph must collect all the gold from each level while battling the alien creatures and maintaining his own health and oxygen levels. To complicate matters even more, the elder alien inhabitants have compromised some of the equipment left behind by the miners. Worker-Bots that once helped the miners have been re-programmed to help the aliens destroy intruders. Now called Bomb-Bots,  these mechanical nightmares are relentless in their presuit to destroy Ralph. You'll need quick reflexes and some heavy fire power to defeat these Bots.   While exhibiting no real weakness the Bombbot can be easily destoryed by attacking it from above, usually  with jetpacks or by tossing dynamite from a ledge. Ralph will have his work count out for him in this episode as he will have to master platforming, powerups, weapons and  character building in order to achieve his goal.         Gold was extracted from the asteroid in large quantities but was never collected due the local hostiles. Hostile inhabitants kept the workers from collecting the metals they had so vigoriously extracted. The metals were left laying about the mining complex.
